“All the Money in the World” is a 2017 crime thriller film directed by , and starring , , and . The movie tells the story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III, the grandson of the wealthy oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, and the desperate attempts of his mother Gail to negotiate his release.

Synopsis:

In 1973, 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) is kidnapped in Rome by a group of Italian criminals who demand a ransom of $17 million for his release. His mother Gail () tries to get J. Paul Getty (), the boy's grandfather and one of the richest men in the world, to pay the ransom. However, Getty refuses, stating that he will not pay a penny to kidnappers and that the boy's life is not worth the money.

As the deadline for the ransom approaches, Gail works with Getty's business associate Fletcher Chase () to track down her son and negotiate with the kidnappers. But with Getty refusing to help and the kidnappers becoming more violent, Gail and Fletcher's efforts become increasingly desperate and dangerous.

Review:

“All the Money in the World” is a tense and thrilling film, driven by strong performances from its cast. 's portrayal of J. Paul Getty is particularly impressive, as he captures the character's cold and calculating nature, and the film's script does an excellent job of exploring the complicated relationships between the characters.

is also fantastic as Gail, conveying the mother's determination to save her son despite the obstacles in her way. 's portrayal of Fletcher is solid, though his character could have been developed more fully.

The film's direction by is strong, with the director expertly building tension throughout the film. The movie's production values are also top-notch, with the cinematography and score adding to the film's overall impact.
