The movie “Thaala” (Sinhala: තාල) is a Sinhalese musical drama film released in 2019 in Sri Lanka. Paalitha Perera directed the film, and Nilan Weerasinghe produced it for MEntertainment as a Sirasa Movie. Hemal Ranasinghe and Kalani Dodantenna played the leading roles, supported by Jayalath Manoratne and Kaushalya Fernando. The music for the film was composed by Chinthaka Jayakody. “Thaala” marks the 1322nd addition to the Sinhala cinema industry.
