Synopsis:
Mark and Olivia, a young American couple, are expecting their first child and have decided to fulfill their dream of traveling to Europe. They book private accommodations for their four-week journey through an online portal and arrive in Germany, where they are met by Elisabeth, the daughter of the landlady of their first accommodation. The tiny house is situated by a beautiful lake in Olivia’s great-grandparents’ hometown. Upon arrival, they learn that the elderly landlady is dying in the hospital. Elisabeth drives Mark and Olivia to the house, where they spend their first night in Germany. However, Mark’s encounter with the owner turns out to be anything but normal, and the next morning, a strange quietness falls over the house by the lake.
