“Occupation” is a 2018 Australian science-fiction film directed by Luke Sparke. The film depicts a group of civilians in a small town who band together to fight back against an alien invasion that has taken over the Earth.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its action sequences and special effects, but criticism for its plot and characterization. It was, however, a box office success, grossing over $6 million in Australia and receiving a limited theatrical release in the United States.
As for awards, “Occupation” was nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 2018 Screen Music Awards and won Best Australian Feature Film at the 2018 Gold Coast Film Festival.
