“Vellam” is a powerful and emotional film that sheds light on the issue of alcoholism in India. Jayasurya delivers a standout performance as Murali, portraying the character’s struggles and emotions with authenticity and depth.

The film’s direction and cinematography are also impressive, capturing the beauty and struggles of life in a small town. The supporting cast, including Samyuktha Menon as Murali’s wife, also deliver strong performances.

The film’s pacing is slow at times, but the themes of addiction, recovery, and redemption are well-portrayed and make for a compelling viewing experience.
